ICOS — Integrated Carbon Observation System (Eddy Covariance Towers)
Pan-European research infrastructure for greenhouse gas observations. ~150 stations (ecosystem + atmosphere + ocean) across 16 ERIC member countries. The European node of the global FLUXNET community. Foundational for CO2/CH4/N2O flux measurements, ecosystem-level carbon accounting, and downstream MRV (CSRD E4, EUDR, CRCF) reference data.
