landsat-1-5-mss

The start of the civilian EO record: four bands at ~60m from 1972. The only systematic satellite imagery of the 1970s, and the pre-1984 baseline for any change study that outruns TM. Already cloud-native: Collection 2 Level-1 COGs on Planetary Computer (landsat-c2-l1) and USGS. One entry covers the MSS instrument across Landsat 1-5; filter by platform for a specific satellite.
