Trait diversity

Distribution and dispersion of functional traits (e.g. body size, SLA, wood density, dispersal mode, thermal tolerance) across the species in a community. Captures functional rather than taxonomic structure; anchored by TRY, BIEN, FishBase, EltonTraits and Open Traits Network, and feeds functional-diversity indices (FD, FRic, FEve, RaoQ) used in IPBES and Nature Restoration Regulation indicators.
