Height of the land surface above a vertical reference (typically the
WGS84 ellipsoid or a regional geoid). The atomic topography concept
that slope, aspect, hillshade, TPI, TRI, and curvature derive from.
Flagship products: Copernicus DEM GLO-30/90, USGS 3DEP, AW3D30,
ASTER GDEM v3, NASADEM. DSM and DTM are sub-concepts capturing the
surface-including-features vs bare-earth distinction.
