Per-pixel binary or fractional burned coverage detected from satellite
imagery. Flagship products: MCD64A1 (MODIS Collection 6, 500 m global
monthly, 2000-present), FireCCI51 (ESA CCI, 250 m global, 2001-present),
and the Sentinel-2 burned-area product (Roteta et al., 20 m). Used by
EUDR (no-deforestation evidence), insurance, ecology, and emissions
accounting ops. Concept resolves primarily by fetching one of the
flagship datasets; recipe-side computation (e.g. dNBR thresholding) is
available but secondary.
