Bare Ground / Cleared Land

Surfaces with little or no vegetation cover: natural bare ground (desert, exposed rock, badlands), recently cleared agricultural land (post-harvest, cleared orchard, drained wetland), brownfield, construction sites. Captured spectrally by low vegetation indices (NDVI < ~0.2) combined with high bare-soil indices (BI / DBSI > 0).
